What is Daoyin Tao®?

Daoyin Tao® is a shoulder, neck, face and scalp massage. It is a blend of Chinese accupressure work and western massage techniques. Most clients find it deeply relaxing and it is believed to encourage the body to begin the process of healing itself. As the shoulders and neck are areas where much tension is held it may relieve the tension, reduce pain and help mobility. Each treatment is tailored to the individual's needs and uses the Chinese five elements to determine which accupoints need to be worked. A treatment may leave the recipient with a sense of well-being and improved health.

What Conditions Might Daoyin Tao help?

Daoyin Tao® may help to rebalance the body’s rhythms, reduce stress, decongest and detoxify, alleviate pain, reduce stiffness and muscle tension, and provide support to all levels of holistic healing.

What does a Daoyin Tao® treatment involve?

On your first visit a detailed medical history will be taken. This is entirely confidential and no details are stored on a computer. A Daoyin Tao® session involves the recipient lying on a couch. You will need to make your neck and shoulders accessible by removing necklaces, earrings and hair accessories as the contact will be to your shoulders, neck, face, ears and scalp. Although oil is used we are trained to use a minimal amount so you need not have concerns about your hair.

How long will each treatment take?

A treatment will last 30 minutes with an additional 15 minutes consultation during the first session.

How many session will I need?

Three to four sessions on a weekly basis may be enough as the effect is cumulative.

How much will each Daoyin Tao® session cost?

A session costs £25.
