What is Daoyin Tao®?

Daoyin Tao® is Chinese face, neck and shoulder massage. It is a powerful synergy of softened and adapted Chinese and stylised western massage techniques, harmoniously blended to create a widely applicable therapy. Daoyin Tao® releases trapped and stagnant energy, allowing the body to begin the process of healing itself from within, often at the deepest levels. Each treatment is tailored to the individual’s needs, using the Chinese five elements to determine which meridians need to be worked. Relaxation, rebalancing, revitalisation, rejuvenation and detoxification are all components of a Daoyin Tao® treatment. A treatment usually leaves the recipient with a sense of well-being and improved health.

What conditions can Daoyin Tao help?

Daoyin Tao® has shown itself to rebalance the body’s rhythms, reduce stress, decongest and detoxify, alleviate pain, reduce stiffness and muscle tension, and provide support to all levels of holistic healing.

What does a Daoyin Tao® treatment involve?

On your first visit a detailed medical history will be taken. This is entirely confidential and no details are stored on a computer. A Daoyin Tao® session involves the recipient lying on a couch. You will need to make your neck and shoulders accessible by removing necklaces, earrings and hair accessories as the contact will be to your shoulders, neck, face, ears and scalp. Although oil is used we are trained to use a minimal amount so you need not have concerns about your hair.

How long will each treatment take?

A treatment will last 30 minutes with an additional 15 minutes consultation during the first session.

How many session will I need?

Three to four sessions on a weekly basis may be enough as the effect is cumulative.

How much will each Daoyin Tao® session cost?

A session costs £25.
